GOD'S PROMISE - IT WILL GO WELL WITH YOU / ISAIAH 3:10

INTRODUCCION:

One of the things we miss most these days is watching sports on television. These days, the only games we can see on television are reruns of past games.

A few days ago I was able to see the rerun of the 2018 World Cup game between Mexico and Germany. That game was played on June 17, 2018 and we were terrified in my house because we knew Germany was a strong team and to be honest, many of us thought Mexico would lose to Germany. Chucky Lozano’s goal occurred at the 35th minute of the game and we celebrated it as if we had won the world cup and we suffered for the remainder of the game because we had a feeling of uncertainty, of surprise.

WE CELEBRATED THAT VICTORY EVEN IN OUR SLEEP

Last week, I saw the rerun on television and I was very much relaxed, without any stress because I knew that in the end Mexico had defeated Germany.

There was no longer that feeling of uncertainty or surprise because I knew that in the end, against all odds, Mexico would be the winner. .

I want to share with you what the Bible says in

Isaiah 3:10 “Tell the godly (righteous) that all will be well with them...”

For believers that ARE dramatic, that is, those who like drama, maybe this word is going to ruin the surprise because I want you to know that despite everything that is occuring nowadays, God says, “Tell the godly (righteous) that all will be well with them...

2 reflections for a time like today:

Clarification

1. THE FACT THAT GOD TELLS US THAT ALL WILL BE WELL DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE WILL NOT GO THROUGH TRIALS BUT RATHER WHATEVER COMES, GOD IS WITH US AND IN THE END, EVERYTHING WORKS FOR A GOOD.

Psalm 34:19 “The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.

John 16:33 “...Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, I have overcome the world.”

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

2. GOD HAS SPECIAL FAVOR FOR HIS FAITHFUL

Isaiah 3:11 says:

V.11 “But the wicked are doomed, for they will get exactly what they deserve.”

The Bible has many examples of the difference between good persons and bad persons.

This verse is a continuation of chapter 2 where God pronounces judgment over Israel for their disobedience, rebellion and odolatry.

Fulfillment - 2 Kings 24 when the nation was taken captive to Babylon.

--difficult time for the nation of Israel

I believe with all of my heart that what we are living on a global scale is a call by God for man to draw close to Him.
Many suggest that the situation nowadays is a judgement upon the world from God because of its sin.
WHATEVER THE REASON, I want to remind you that GOD HAS SPECIAL FAVOR FOR HIS FAITHFUL.

Abraham knew this principle when he told the Lord,“Surely you wouldn’t do such a thing, destroying the righteous along with the wicked. Why, you would be treating the righteous and the wicked exactly the same! Surely you wouldn’t do that! Should not the Judge of all the earth do what is right?” (Genesis 18:25)

THE PROPHET JEREMIAH WROTE THE BOOK OF LAMENTATIONS FROM THE RUINS OF JERUSALEM à The nation had been taken captive, the city of Jerusalem destroyed

Lamentations 3:25 “The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him.”

GOD WILL NOT FORGET YOUR FAITHFULNESS

Hebrews 6:9 (begins by speaking about those who have turned away from God and how God will rip them out as weeds are ripped out when do not bear fruit)

9 Dear friends, even though we are talking this way, we really don’t believe it applies to you. We are confident that you are meant for better things, things that come with salvation.

10 For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.

GOD IS NOT UNJUST (MALACHI MENTIONS GOD HAS A SCROLL OF REMEMBRANCE)

3:13-17

CONCLUSION:

DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED

DO NOT BE DISHEARTENED

IF YOU SERVE THE LORD THIS WORD IS FOR YOU, TAKE HEART

IF YOU TODAY SAY, PASTOR ROLANDO, I DO NOT KNOW IF I AM A GODLY (RIGHTEOUS) PERSON AND WHETHER THIS WORD APPLIES TO ME OR NOT

à The word godly (righteous) refers to those who have been faithful to God.

à Today, the reality is stated in

ROMANS 3:10. “...NO ONE IS RIGHTEOUS - NOT EVEN ONE.”

IN CHRIST WE ARE JUSTIFIED (MADE RIGHTEOUS).

2 CORINTHIANS 5:21 FOR HE MADE HIM WHO KNEW NO SIN TO BE SIN FOR US, THAT WE MIGHT BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN HIM.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

ACCEPT JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR, GIVE YOUR LIFE TO HIM, AND ASK HIM TO FORGIVE YOUR SINS.

THEN, SEEK GOD, FIND A CHURCH AND CULTIVATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.

THEN THIS WORD WILL ALSO BE FOR YOU.
